FAQs

What is the IV Therapy procedure?

Vivant Infusions uses a saline-based electrolyte solution containing your personalized selection of vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants. A registered nurse will begin by inserting an intravenous line into your vein using a small tube or catheter, then attach the tubing connected to the saline solution. Once the infusion treatment begins, you just sit back, relax, and revitalize for the following 30 to 60 minutes.

Why choose IV Therapy?

Infusion therapy has the advantage of putting nutrients directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract. When you take oral supplements, you only absorb and use 10-30% of those vitamins and nutrients because of the acid in your intestines. There are various IV therapy drips so you should be able to select one that best suits your needs; either for one-time sessions or long-term wellness journey benefits.

How often can I get infusions?

Infusions given by trained professionals are completely safe, but Vivant Infusions advises you to speak with your primary care physician prior to trying IV therapy-- especially if you have health conditions that may impact your treatments. It is always a smart decision to discuss starting any supplements with your physician because too much of any vitamin has the potential to be harmful.

Depending on the infusion type, you can receive IV therapy one to two times a week, or for general wellness journeys, once every two weeks. If you are incorporating infusion therapy into your wellness journey, maintaining a schedule is advised. Vitamins from an IV treatment remain in your system until metabolized, typically for one to three weeks.

If you are participating in IV therapy for any specific ailments, Vivant Infusions advises following a schedule recommended to you by your physician. Then, once you have met your health goal, the frequency of IV therapy sessions is up to you!

What are the different benefits between one-time and long-term therapy options?

Ultimately, it depends on what you and your body need. There are consistent IV therapy treatments to ensure you receive essential nutrients and vitamins and enhance your health journey. One-time IV therapy treatments are helpful solutions when certain situations arise, for example, when you are hungover, we have the Hangover Therapy option. This will not necessarily be a treatment you get daily, weekly, or monthly, but more so on a when-you-need-it basis.

Are there any precautions I should take before my infusion?

We recommend relaxing, hydrating with water, and eating a small snack before your infusion.
